According to the Wrestling Observer, the WWE creative team still hasn’t hammered down plans for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, despite being only three months away from the event.

Some within the company believe that the Royal Rumble will be the real, big coronation of Reigns as the new WWE Universal Champion heading into WrestleMania 33. He’s set to face Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble for the title, with Chris Jericho hanging above the ring in a shark cage. Many expect that Jericho will somehow cost Owens the title, which will spin off into a non-title feud, but a personal grudge match between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens.

As for Reigns and Universal title, there is no word yet on who his opponent might be at WrestleMania. But shockingly the report states that WWE doesn’t currently plan on another “coronation” for Reigns at WrestleMania and have even talked about a “big surprise,” but that idea is said to be unrealistic. As we all know, Roman Reigns is Vince McMahon’s personal pet project; this will be the third time WWE attempts to cement Reigns as WWE’s flag-bearing babyface.

Obviously, with Vince McMahon in-charge, things will change, so stick with PWPNation.com for more WrestleMania updates along the way.
