Original post: Earlier this week, WWE officially announced that newly crowned SmackDown LIVE Women’s Champion Asuka will defend her title for the first time on pay-per-view against former Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
The two will go head-to-head at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 27th, 2019 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA.
This news comes after Asuka defeated Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a tables, ladders and chairs match at WWE TLC.
