I know we are late to the party here, but this weekend, the wrestling world found out that The Lucha Brothers, Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix have agreed to wrestle for All Elite Wrestling. There was a special independent wrestling show in Atlanta (The Home of the Super Bowl) called Come Hell or High Water where The Lucha Bros came face-to-face with The Young Bucks.

Details surrounding this apparent “signing” are a bit sketchy. It looks as if they will not be signing any kind of exclusive deal with AEW & could possibly just be signed on for a match at the upcoming “Double or Nothing” show in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand.

According to Lucha Central, The Lucha Bros will fulfill all their current contractual agreements & have NOT signed exclusively with AEW. If you didn’t know, they currently wrestle for AAA, CMLL, Impact, MLW and Lucha Underground.

Chris Jericho also added to the confusion to the situation this weekend by tweeting, and later deleting because I cannot find it, the below message to Pentagon & Fenix:

Just heard that @PENTAELZEROM & @ReyFenixMx have signed exclusively w @AEWrestling! Everybody is ao excited..except me. Both are pale comparisons to my mentors #NegroCasas#BestiaSalvaje and #EmilioCharles. So stay the hell away from me…

It remains to be seen whether or not the upcoming “Double or Nothing” show will feature The Lucha Bros, but the chances are likely at this stage of the game. As their contracts start to come up for renewal, it will be interesting to see where they end up.
