Did you like the Cruiserweight Classic? Well, WWE has another single elimination tournament coming your way.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning an all women’s tournament to take place in early 2017. It’s being said that the tournament will be very similar to this past summer’s Cruiserweight Classic.
At this time, there is no word on how many will be competing in the tournament or if WWE will format the show around international talent, like the CWC. It’s expected that Paul “Triple H” Levesque will be running it and it will be taped at Full Sail University, where the CWC was taped and where NXT currently airs their programming.
Details for this project are still very vague.
