WWE has purchased another tape library…THE WORLD WRESTLING COUNCIL.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, WWE has purchased the WWC library. The World Wrestling Council was founded by WWE Hall of Famer Carlos Colon, father of former WWE Superstar Carlito & current WWE Superstars Primo Epico Colon. WWC was a Puerto Rico based promotion that was started in 1973 as Capitol Sports Promotions.

Part of the tape library was damaged from the effects of Hurricane Maria, but WWE is aware of this. The promotion is still in business, but their tape library will now be swiftly ushered onto the WWE Network.

The promotion featured many bloody & violent battles.

Infamously, WWC was the promotion where Bruiser Brody was stabbed by José Huertas González. It remains to be seen how much Bruiser Brody we see added to the WWE Network, but there’s definitely a market for matches from the fallen star that many believe was way ahead of his time.
