Former WCW & Impact Wrestling star, Shannon “Daffney” Spruill has died.
In an unfortunate series of events, Daffney posted a video to Instagram which sent the social media wrestling community into a frenzy with attempts to get in contact with “The Scream Queen.”
In the video, she was crying, holding a gun and discussing suicide. The call for help was real.
PWP Nation sends our deepest condolences to the true family and friends of Daffney. She was awesome and our team often speaks fondly of her when having internal discussions about wrestling.
Toph, one of our PWP Nation contributors since the beginning in 2012, had this to say about Daffney…who was legitimately one of his favorite wrestlers:
She was crazy before it was cool. Too late to ride the wave off Ruthless Aggression. Too early to get the buzz off social media. A pioneer. The queen of scream.
