According to a report from PWInsider, long time Impact Wrestling performers and recent backstage employees Sonjay Dutt and Abyss have left the company. Impact announced the departures via email to their talent and executives. The belief is both are WWE bound and will be working for the company shortly.
Abyss was the last TNA original from the company from its start back in 2002. There were rumors back in 2005 that Abyss was WWE bound but instead he opted to return to TNA. He is the most recent Impact Hall Of famer. There is no word yet what Abyss’s role in WWE will be.
Dutt has several tours with the company and for the last few years was an executive for the company and a big part of their creative team. Just like Abyss there is no word yet in what capacity he will join WWE in.
