UPDATE:

In an update, WWE has confirmed that Dean Ambrose will allow his contract to expire and will no longer be with the company after that happens.

Here’s the official statement released to the press:

According to PWTorch.com, former WWE Champion and current WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose has reportedly given WWE his notice and has told them he will depart from the company once his contract is up.

Ambrose’s deal is apparently up at the end of April. The report claims that Ambrose notified WWE this past weekend of his decision.

The report also states that WWE offered Ambrose a new deal weeks ago, which included a raise, but Ambrose turned it down and told officials he has his mind made up and that he is not holding out for more money.

PWTorch cites that Ambrose has been frustrated with his character’s creative direction and “reached a breaking point recently.”
