There are currently no plans for Matt Riddle to leave NXT to move to the main roster.
According to Dave Meltzer, NXT wants to take their time with Matt Riddle & he won’t be getting a shot at the NXT Championship anytime soon.
There was a lot of speculation that Riddle would be next in line to get a shot at the championship, but that won’t be happening. However, he will be staying on the brand for longer than originally expected. It is being speculated that NXT may want to protect Riddle from being squandered on the main roster too quickly.
Since he won’t be on his way to the NXT Championship right now, Riddle will be working underneath for the foreseeable future with a variety of wrestlers.
He will have a new feud in the future, but we won’t give it away here in case you want to avoid the spoiler.
