Earlier this week, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin tweeted an update on his injury.

Surgery complete. Back home. Still loopy. Happy the healing process in finally underway.

According to reports from several news outlets, WWE is planning on bringing Shelton Benjamin back in 2017 and are possibly eyeing a return to the company in the 2017 Royal Rumble match.
Benjamin was scheduled to return to WWE SmackDown LIVE earlier this year, but was detoured when WWE doctors discovered a serious shoulder injury, which required surgery.
