Matt Hardy has become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Ethan Carter III with help from Tyrus! This was a CAREER vs. TITLE contest that is tentatively set to air on the January 26, 2015 edition of Impact Wrestling. In an ironic twist of fate, Matt Hardy turned heel in a post-match promo with Tyrus backing him up.
The live audience is said to have been in favor of EC3 during the match. It looks like EC3 is now officially a babyface.
