PWP Nation’s Caden Moran details six things we learned from the March 4th, 2019 edition of Monday Night RAW

Finally. Finally we had a great episode of Monday Night RAW from start to finish. Some fun action, great promos and interactions, and a heated ending to the show proved that it truly is Wrestlemania season.

The road to the biggest event of the year continues to take turns that none of us expected. The March 4th edition of Monday Night RAW was a fun one in Philadelphia, and here are six things we learned from the show.

#6 – Heavy Machinery are proving themselves

Out of any of the NXT guys that have been called up over the past couple of months, Heavy Machinery have been the most impressive.

Tucker & Otis have been the most entertaining and fun call ups to watch over the last few months, excluding the guys currently still on NXT. Being on both brands almost consistently, the team has been showcased a ton, and they have continued to prove themselves as a fine tag team in WWE.

Heavy Machinery ran the gauntlet on Monday Night RAW last night, and if they continue to pile up wins like they are right now, the sky is the limit for this highly entertaining tag team.

#5 – Dean Ambrose isn’t going anywhere

Ever since the news broke that Dean Ambrose would be leaving WWE once his contract is up, I believed it was true. I had no reason to think otherwise. However, last night proved to me and everyone else that Ambrose isn’t going anywhere.

The number of times that the commentators mentioned Ambroses’ contract being done soon and he wouldn’t be re-signing is odd. Never has they happened and the person being referred about actually left.

With The Shield now reunited once again, and now with Ambrose back as a babyface after a dull heel run, it’s safe to say that WWE will be holding on to one of their top guys.

#4 – Tag team wrestling is finally changing

Remember how awful RAW’s tag team division was just three months ago? Well, look at it now. It’s beautiful.

The addition of Aleister Black and Ricochet as a tag team on WWE’s main roster has been wonderful and has worked surprisingly well so far. The Revival are the RAW Tag Team Champions and the team of Bobby Roode and Chad Gable continue to get better and better. Tag team wrestling on the red brand is picking up, and Wrestlemania should be a fun one for them.

Right now, I would expect The Revival to defend their titles on the biggest stage in sports entertainment against both teams mentioned. With the state of the division and entertainment value right now, that could easily steal the show.

#3 – Triple H still has it

Triple H is 49 years old and he still has it. Last night, Triple H began his promo discussing his friendship with Ric Flair and allowed his emotions to show. However, at the snap of a finger, he turned his attention to his former friend and foe, Batista.

Triple H tore into Dave Bautista, not “The Animal“. Triple H managed to prove that he still has what it takes to deliver a mean and vicious promo that can hype up a match even at his age.

We are obviously getting Batista vs Triple H at Wrestlemania, and with the state of both men and their mindset, it is sure to be explosive and electric leading up to the show.

#2 – A member of The Shield will turn

I hope I’m wrong about this one. The Shield reunited once again last night, but I’m not sold that is will end smoothly. Not that it ever has.

It was a goosebumps worthy moment when they trio stood side by side with fists in unison. However, there is just too much going on for all three men to let things be how they are. For instance, there is still the resentment between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. There is also the possibility of jealousy from Roman Reigns towards Rollins.

There are stories that could be played out here, but I think for the sake of all three guys, just leave this be. No more turns and no more betrayals. Just let The Shield be The Shield.

#1 – Ronda Rousey is finally who she needs to be

Ronda Rousey in WWE is finally the Ronda Rousey in UFC.

Last night, Ronda Rousey turned full heel after turning against the fans and took down Becky Lynch. Ronda stood tall to end the show with a brand new attitude and all. Ronda’s actions and words needed to be done and said because Rousey will always be a better bad guy being bad than a bad guy trying to be good.

Ronda Rousey receives a lot of unfair criticism. She has proved almost everybody wrong and proved she has what it takes to be a star in this business. Now, with her new attitude and ability to be who she truly is, there is not telling what more “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” could do in her career.

Fastlane is this weekend and the card is shaping up to be a lot of fun. Expect a stellar show during the final event before Wrestlemania.
