WWE Officials Internally Discussing Making NXT Live Every Week

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials have had some discussion about making NXT a live show on the WWE Network starting next year.

It should be noted that moving the show live would add significant production costs to the budget that NXT receives. According to reports, WWE NXT is still performing at a loss and isn’t generating much overall revenue for the company. WWE officials are concerned about having to bring in talent each week for a one hour show, especially enhancement talent and superstars who work both the main roster and NXT.

At this time, the talks are very light and there is no preliminary actions being taken at this time. This is simply a discussion taking place within the company.

Many have speculated on the reason for this being talked about. Some have stated that WWE believes more live programming would be a better attraction for the WWE Network, as the company continues to try and grow their subscriber base.
