PWPNation.com‘s Brennan Daly fantasy books the fate of 5 wrestlers in WWE & creates a huge stable in the process called: The European Union.

Stables just don’t represent an outstanding opportunity but they create Superstars. This allows for unique booking and most importantly makes for interesting TV. They’re an institution of the greatest importance. In an era where the WWE needs to create some new stars, this is a great way to do so.

My favorite group right now, The New Day is absolutely killing it. If WWE didn’t put these guys together, they would probably be future endeavored. It would be a shame to see the talent that all three of these guys possess leave to go to another company. How can anyone forget The Shield?

In creating a group, I looked at the success that The Hart Foundation had. The Canadian cocky gimmick that they were from the best country made the U.S. crowd hate these characters. It was something unique and made them a great heel group. Why not do something like this today?

There are 4 European Superstars that should take what The Hart Foundation did and do something similar. Putting them together could help change the landscape of the WWE. I know that I am not the only one that has thought of a stereotypical team between Superstars from the same part of the world.

Hell, what is the worst thing that could happen? Here is the group that I want to form after WrestleMania 32 that could rule the WWE.

The European Union

 Leader: William Regal

Right now he is the current NXT General Manager & WWE Performance Trainer. It’s obvious that he has done a pretty great job doing both. Regal has always had great mic skills and is one of the most knowledgeable people on the roster because he has over 30 years of experience.

When he was the General Manager of Monday Night Raw he nailed playing the heel role. His ruthless aggression and personality will make him a Future Hall of Famer in my eyes for his work with NXT as well as his in-ring ability.

This would work perfectly for WWE at the moment because there is no true #1 heel in the company right now. Regal can help take away some of the flaws that haunt some of the people in the group and developing each of them for the future.

During the group’s matches, Regal could distract the referee and help whatever group member is in the ring get wins. His purpose for making the group could be simple. Europeans aren’t getting the recognition that they deserve and are truly the best wrestlers on the planet or something along those lines.

Member #1: Neville

Neville, the former NXT Champ, has not done much since he was called up to the main roster. Neville has two major flaws that have brought up him down to reality.

First, he has trouble because of his Geordie accent. It is not your typical English accent and as much as I hate to admit it, is very difficult to understand.

Second, his size prohibits him. Even though he is listed at 5’10, which is surprising, he just seems smaller. Often time’s smaller guys are pretty much automatic babyface. What Regal could do is bring out a nasty side in Neville that we have not seen before. In NXT he worked as the heel in the Sami Zayn feud and I thought he did a damn good job in a role that he never really did before.

He played the cocky gimmick and acted like he was better than everyone else because he was the NXT Champion for a 2/3 of the year. Neville would be best in the tag team role maybe with either of the following guys in the team. The tag team division doesn’t have much depth at the moment, so the more contenders the better.

Have Neville and another person win the tag team titles doing natural heel tactics and the heat from the audience would come. For the future, Neville could turn on the group and take the ultimate underdog role and be put in a situation much like Rey Mysterio. Right now, Neville needs a change and anything is better than what he is doing now.

Member#2: King Barrett

In a perfect world, King Barrett would already be a World Champion by now. When he debuted back in 2010 as the leader of The Nexus, it seemed like the sky’s the limit for this guy. He could talk on the mic, had charisma and brought a unique brawler style in his matches.

Some would ask the question, why would this guy need a manager if he were good on the mic? For a group like Evolution, Ric Flair was the manager even though Triple H could kill it carrying a segment. Barrett could be very similar. As we have seen over the years, he is known for being a bare-knuckle brawler in his previous life.

Both have stated that they grew up in hard times and have had to fight for everything they have earned. Hell, you could put that into the storyline and make it their objective to become the greatest European’s to ever be in the company. Regal could take Barrett under his wing to bring out the one thing that he is missing from his arsenal.

I am not sure what that trait could be, but WWE could come up with something good. Eventually, he would win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, preferably against Cena because he will always be the biggest face of the company. In doing so, he will be the biggest heel in the company and will have people always looking out for him.

WWE could right the wrong that they made back with The Nexus and finally develop the star that Barrett should have been.

Member #3: Sheamus

Sheamus is currently one of the most hated guys in the company. As a big Triple H and Vince McMahon guy, he has been given a push that others along with myself don’t believe he deserves. Now, don’t get me wrong, he isn’t as bad as many people make it seem, but looking at his previous runs in the main event it just was not successful.

Opportunities have been given to Sheamus and it just didn’t work. I could see Sheamus lose the Money in The Bank briefcase leading him to go crazy. Looking for people to get on his side, he could run into Regal who could tell Sheamus that he needs to go back to the place that made him successful when he first debuted. His role in the group would be the bodyguard much like Batista. Being a pretty intimidating guy with his size, it wouldn’t be hard to transition him in to the guy that has a mean streak.

He would take out many of the challengers for his friend King Barrett in exchange for helping him get the IC/US Championship. It would actually be cool if he held both belts, as the group proves to be the best thing going. Maybe he could bring back The European Championship and state that he is the best Irish Wrestler of all time.

Eventually, Sheamus could take out Barrett with the order from Regal because Regal thinks Barrett has accomplished more than him in his own career. This would set up a Sheamus with Regal and Barrett feud for the title. Barrett could turn into the baby face in this matchup. Bringing back the Bad News Barrett gimmick and saying, “I’ve got some bad news for you Sheamus!” I like this because it’s something that we have not seen before and would push both to bigger and better things for the future.

Member #4 (Maybe): Becky Lynch

Many people would put Paige in this stable, but she is perfect by herself, unlike Becky Lynch. Am I the only one that feels Becky Lynch should of stayed in NXT a little bit longer? I think she is really good, but her character is not where it needs to be.

NXT is the place to figure out what works for you and she never developed something that works for her. Right now, it’s not working with her and it’s never going to at this rate. Over the last year, she’s only gone from Sasha’s awkward lackey to Charlotte’s awkward lackey. She really hasn’t contributed to the product in 3 months. Her character often has her being awkward saying corny jokes. It is somewhat entertaining, but I want all of The Four Horsewomen to take the “Divas Revolution” seriously.

This gimmick is all WWE and I feel like they aren’t letting her branch out. She’s supposed to be awkward and dorky. It also doesn’t help that she almost never wrestles and does nothing to help her teammates. She literally just sits at ringside and watches them lose. A quick way to fix this is for her to realize that she is basically going nowhere with what she is doing.

Sheamus, an Irishman like Lynch, could form a dynamic duo and tell her that she is making Ireland look weak. In doing so, she would align herself with the European Union with Regal telling her to be the “Lass Kicker” that he signed to NXT.

Lynch would beat Divas like Natalya, The Bella Twins, and Naomi. Eventually leading her to face either Sasha Banks or Charlotte depending on whoever is the Champion after WrestleMania!

Finally getting the Divas Champion, she would turn it back into the Women’s Championship, making Sasha jealous and then continuing the amazing but short feud they had in NXT.

Thanks for reading, everyone. What do you think? Could this work in WWE today? Let me know in the comments section or on Twitter
