For the first time in nearly two years, the UFC returns to Nashville, TN, with former UFC welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson taking on former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis in the headliner.

UFC on ESPN+ 6 is set to take place on March 23rd at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. UFC announced the event on the UFC on ESPN+ 1 broadcast this past Saturday night. Tickets for the event go on sale Feb. 1. Stephen Thompson (14-3-1 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC) vs. Anthony Pettis (21-8 MMA, 8-7 UFC) will serve as the five-round main event for the card.

Thompson returns to the Octagon for the first time since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Darren Till last May. He’ll welcome Pettis to the welterweight division, as Pettis moves up in weight after spending his career in the lightweight and featherweight divisions. Pettis will be looking to rebound from a TKO loss to Tony Ferguson last October.

In addition to the Thompson vs. Pettis bout, the following bouts were confirmed for the card as well:

  • Curtis Blaydes vs. Justin Willis (Heavyweight Bout)
  • Randa Markos vs. Angela Hill (Women’s Strawweight Bout)
  • Maycee Barber vs. JJ Aldrich (Women’s Flyweight Bout)
  • Alexis Davis vs. Jennifer Maia (Women’s Flyweight Bout)
  • Jussier Formiga vs. Deiveson Figueiredo (Flyweight Bout)
