In the last few weeks, we’ve seen more of Roman Reigns since announcing his second battle with leukemia and stepping away from WWE for the time being.

The biggest piece of news is that Reigns will co-star in the next Fast & Furious movie called, “Hobbs & Shaw.”

The film is centered around Reigns’ cousin Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and is a spinoff movie from the original Fast & Furious franchise. Reigns is playing Johnson’s brother in the film and is said to have a good amount of screen time.

In an update from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns is heavily involved in fight scenes and physicality, so many believe his fight with leukemia is going well, as he looks to be in good shape physically.

The report states that there have been internal talks within the company that Reigns could be back sooner than later, as they believe his form of leukemia could be a less serious version of cancer.

The report is quick to say that obviously all forms are serious, but the fact that Reigns is involved in physicality for the movie role, is a good sign for a return.

WWE did not release any information on what form of leukemia Roman has, but the report cites that after talking to doctors, the form that Roman has, being that he had it a long time ago and was still able to perform in both football and in wrestling as a high-level athlete, are signs that this may not be a deadly form of leukemia.

To be perfectly clear, there is no official word on what Reigns’ status is at this time. This is simply the report from WON on what they’ve observed and been told. WWE has kept all details about Reigns very quiet.
