Boy to quote Ron Burgandy, “This escalated quickly”.

After being long tied for months to FS1, it now appears that NXT will be moving to USA.

Here’s what we know:

There is a feeling within WWE that the move to USA is a done deal and it’s just a matter of time before the deal is announced.

WWE has announced a “major” announcement for Raw this Monday so one would tend to think this would be it.

There had been interest from FOX for FS1. The hold up with FS1 is that the network carries 80-100 Big East Basketball games and it would lead to multiple preemptions of NXT.

It is being reported that once USA heard about WWE’s hesitation, they decided to get involved.

PWInsider is reporting that NXT talent and workers were told this week in Florida to be prepared for a different show and that things would be changing very soon.

As far as the immediate TV taping schedule goes, NXT has a taping at Full Sail University on Wednesday 9/11 that reportedly WWE could easily launch the show “live” at that taping, and then tape on 9/12, which is another scheduled taping, before establishing a schedule for live tapings every week in early October.

There is no indication on how if in any way the scheduled 10/24 taping would be effected. There has also been talks of starting the show live on 10/2 head to head with AEW.
