As seen this past Tuesday Night on Smackdown Live, Drew McIntyre somehow disappeared from the main event. The match was a six-man tag where McIntyre teamed with The Bar to face The New Day.

The show went to a commercial break, just as McIntyre had full control of the match, pummeling Xavier Woods outside of the ring. When Smackdown Live came back on the air, Drew was nowhere to be found & wasn’t seen again.

Speculation circulated for the past couple of days that McIntyre may have suffered an injury. When a wrestler leaves a scene, it usually indicates an injury. In this scenario, however, it is being reported that McIntyre was instructed to head backstage.

The apparent reasoning, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, is that WWE official didn’t want McIntyre involved in the loss to New Day.

WHY PUT HIM IN THE MATCH?!?!

It was further reported by PWInsider that WWE didn’t have time to explain taking McIntyre out of the finish of the match, so The Bar took the whooping and the clean loss in the middle.

Strange times to say the least.
