Raw After WrestleMania 33 Wish List

PWP Nation featured writer, John Dimiceli, breaks down what should happen on the Raw after WrestleMania 33.

The Raw after WrestleMania is the biggest non pay-per-view show of the year. PWPNation has already documented some of the memorable moments over the years here. The show always delivers surprises, debuts, returns, and pure shocking moments. With that, this is what should happen this year on the Raw after WrestleMania 33.

A major trade. There has been some talk for a while about a possible Raw and Smackdown trade. A trade centered around AJ Styles to Raw for obvious storyline reasons with his Shane McMahon feud is a prime place to start. Also, Sami Zayn to Smackdown Live would make sense too and would help shake up the rosters for fresh post ‘Mania matchups.

Kurt Angle appearance. Just like The Ultimate Warrior a few years ago. Angle needs to cut a promo re-introducing himself to the WWE Universe.

A turn. Something character driven. Turning Austin Aries heel and bring up a returning Hideo Itami would bring another dimension to the Cruiserweight division.

New debuts. Last year we got Apollo Crews, The Vaudevillans, and Enzo & Cass. With prime talent in NXT ready for the call, anyone could make an appearance on Raw this year. As WWE 24 showed us, that decision may not be made or finalized until Takeover is completed. For this Raw after ‘Mania to compete with past shows, we need to have a new NXT favorite or two on Raw. This year, the same can be said for Smackdown Live.

The new Raw GM. This could tie into the Angle appearance, or they could name somebody else outside the box. Either way, Raw on Monday must end with a new GM in place.

The big angle. Officially establish the long awaited Triple H group. Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, and, someone. Who else will join the King of Kings in his mission to destroy Seth Rollins? Establish the new stable and leave Rollins laying in the middle of the ring.

Brock Lesnar defends the WWE Universal Title. That’s right, have Brock wrestle on Raw. Have Lesnar and Paul Heyman cut their usual promo when Finn Balor returns saying he wants the title he never lost. Heyman can accept the match thinking it will be a joke. As Brock looks to be in control, with the ref knocked out and Finn down and out, The Club can come out and hit Brock with a few shots and the Magic Killer. As The Club leaves, Balor comes to and only sees an incapacitated Brock Lesnar. A Sling Blade and a Coupe De Gra later; Finn Balor is the new champion. The hanging question as Raw goes off the air will be “did Balor know?”
