Kenny Omega Debuts For AEW; Other Signings Also Announced

All Elite Wrestling held their Double or Nothing Ticket Party tonight and there were a few new debuts and signings for the new company. There was perhaps none bigger than the former IWGP heavyweight Champion, Kenny Omega.

Omega, who is being dubbed an “Executive Vice President”, made his anticipated debut for AEW before being confronted by Chris Jericho. Omega declared he was a “full time member” of the AEW roster before brawling with Jericho to end the event.

Other signings and debuts were announced for the likes of Sammy Guevara, Sonny Kiss, Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Barreta), Kylie Rae, Nyla Rose, & The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr & Rey Fenix). Chief Branding Officer Brandi Rhodes also mentioned Japanese stars Aja Kong and Yuka Sakazazi would be competing at Double or Nothing.

Notable events that transpired was the confrontation between The Lucha Bros and The Young Bucks, with Matt Jackson taking a package piledriver on the stage. Nyla Rose and Kylie Rae stood each other down, which led to Brandi intervening.

Hangman Page and PAC called each other out via satellite, which led to Page challenging PAC to a match at Double or Nothing. Christopher Daniels of SCU challenged tag team CIMA and an OWE representative to a match at Double or Nothing, as well.

The landscape of professional wrestling continues to change, and All Elite Wrestling is at the forefront of it.
