Earlier today, it was reported by multiple sources that WWE has removed Hall of Famers Jerry “The King” Lawler and Lita from the WWE kickoff panels that are conducted before WWE Raw and all special events/pay-per-views.

At this time, the reason for this move is still unknown.

Lawler was placed on the kickoff panels in July following the WWE brand extension after being removed from WWE SmackDown commentary. Since this news broke, Lawler has been retweeting fans on Twitter who are voicing their displeasure about this move. Some are speculating that WWE might be giving Lawler the “Jim Ross” treatment (basically forcing him out of the company due to his age and how long he’s been on WWE television).

Lita was also added to the kickoff panels around the time of the draft. She was previously a backstage producer for the main roster. It’s unclear if she’ll return to that role.

This story is still developing, so as we learn more, it will be reported on PWPNation.com.
