According to a report via PWInsider.com, Kane suffered an Achilles tendon injury last week on SmackDown LIVE.
Originally, many speculated that WWE was using the backstage segment at Extreme Rules as a way to extend the feud where Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked Kane and Daniel Bryan, but it appears that was a way to get Kane off TV and only have to work a limited match at the pay-per-view.
Kane wrestled the match with a walking boot and was not seen at SmackDown LIVE tapings this week.
At this time, there is no word on when Kane will return. He is not expected back anytime soon.
