In a surprising announcement, ESPN revealed that former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn will be competing in this year’s annual “Mae Young Classic.”

Kaitlyn was the first name announced as a part of the 32-women tournament that is scheduled to take place later in the year. The former WWE Superstar left the company in 2014 to focus on other projects like bodybuilding and her fitness line. Kaitlyn returned to the ring earlier in the year for an independent show in Florida.

At this time, it’s unclear if she’ll join WWE on a full-time basis once again or if this is a one-off deal where she’ll compete in the tournament. It should also be noted that Kaitlyn has been spotted at NXT tapings for the last few weeks and there is also speculation that she could be brought into the WWE Performance Center as an athletic trainer.
