Earlier this week, news broke that former NFL punter and former Barstool Sports contributor Pat McAfee has signed a multi-year deal with WWE.
Reports indicate that McAfee will produce digital content for WWE, as well as work on the NXT and WWE Pre-Show panels.
News broke after McAfee talked about WWE offering him a deal on his recent podcast:
“WWE has formally offered me a multi-year contract. Who knows what we’re going to be doing over there, they just want me to come make some content. And we’ll see where it goes. I am very excited for this. This is a dream come true.”
McAfee retired from the NFL in 2016 and went on to become one of the internet’s most popular personalities. He went on to work for Barstool Sports and other entertainment outlets.
