Conor McGregor will not fight during UFC 200, UFC commissioner Dana White said on ESPN on Tuesday.
McGregor, 27, tweeted earlier Tuesday he would be retiring from the sport, though it’s unclear if that’s official. White said McGregor was pulled from UFC 200 for failing to appear at a press conference.
McGregor was scheduled to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 200. The Notorious One lost to Diaz at UFC 196 earlier this year.
White said UFC was working on creating a new main event for UFC 200.
