Huge Conor McGregor Update: Calls Out Floyd Mayweather & Next Fight at UFC 197

Big news on Conor McGregor has hit the world of MMA over the past 24 hours. It looks like we can forget about a title defense at Featherweight as it is being strongly suggested by Bleacher Report that McGregor will be moving up to the 155 lbs weight class to challenge Rafael Dos Anjos for the Lightweight Championship on March 5th in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be a rare Champion vs. Champion fight for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

UFC has declined comment on what may be taking place at UFC 197.

In other McGregor news, The Notorious One posted a long social media rant on his Facebook page. Interestingly enough, Conor McGregor comments at length on Floyd Mayweather because of some comments Floyd recently made about the UFC Featherweight Champion.

Here are the controversial comments made a few short days ago by Floyd Mayweather:

“I don’t really know the McGregor guy, never seen him fight. I heard his name actually from one of the runners that works for our company – a little kid named Ken Hopkins. He’s a runner and takes care of a lot of the daily business. Whatever we need, he takes care of. He’s a cool little kid, I like him, and he does MMA. He told me about the guy McGregor.

“They say he talks a lot of trash and people praise him for it, but when I did it, they say I’m cocky and arrogant. So biased! Like I said before, all I’m saying is this: I ain’t racist at all, but I’m telling you racism still exists.”
