Hey Dana White, here’s some free advice: put CM Punk’s UFC Debut on the undercard of UFC 200 headlined by Rousey vs. Holm 2

We’ve been waiting for about a year for the debut of CM Punk inside the Octagon. With the announcement of Ronda Rousey getting her rematch for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship at UFC 200, I think it would make all the sense in the world to aim for your highest buyrate of all time by putting CM Punk on the undercard.

This is free advice to Dana White, but an idea that he should have already thought of. The biggest shows in UFC history have featured Brock Lesnar on the top of the card. He helped UFC exceed ONE MILLION PPV buys with the majority of his fights; including a huge 1.6 million buys for UFC 100 where he conquered Frank Mir to become the undisputed UFC World Heavyweight Champion.

Dana White understands that CM Punk is a huge draw. If he didn’t, there’s no way he would have given him this opportunity. Quite frankly, CM Punk was signed to the UFC with no past competitive experience; only his past MMA training to help him with his professional wrestling conditioning. This is pretty much unprecedented when it comes to the way UFC signs their fighters.

In the first season of ‘Dana White Looking for a Fight’, White is going to determine who will be the first opponent of CM Punk. He recently took trips to MMA gyms in New Jersey & Alaska to search for an opponent for Punk.

He’s not going to throw him in there with some UFC veteran like he did with Lesnar when Brock lost to Frank Mir. He’s going to give Punk a fighter that has little experience as well; which is only fair. Personally, I think CM Punk will hold his own inside the octagon; win, lose or draw.

CM Punk WWE

Think about it: if you…yeah you, reading this right now, put 100% of your time and effort into getting the best training possible & being in the best possible shape for over a year, would you be able to compete?

CM Punk became WWE Champion because he did whatever it took to become the absolute best professional wrestler in the world. It wasn’t just hype. Punk achieved what he wanted to do; leaving out the obvious WrestleMania Main Event which was out of his hands.

He became the best and there’s no doubt you’ll see the absolute best CM Punk has to offer whenever his UFC debut comes to fruition.

The hype & build-up surrounding Ronda Rousey’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship rematch against Holly Holm will likely allow UFC to exceed one million buys, but if you want to break that 1.6 million buy record, feature CM Punk in his UFC debut.
