According to reports from the Wrestling Observer, personal backstage were very unhappy with The Rock going off script to acknowledge the fans dressed up as Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and the Undertaker in the front row.
If you watched RAW, would might have noticed that those guys were moved from one side of the arena to the other, in jeopardy of being thrown out.
Reportedly, when the Rock went off script many backstage got nervous and were scrambling to find a way to get the Rock back on track with the segment. But obviously, there’s nothing anyone could really do and with the Rock, what are you going to do? Fire him?
There’s a very short list of guys that would be given the leash to go THAT off script and half of the people on said list are either owners or partial owners of the company.
