The New Day “gets” what being pro wrestlers is all about
Everyone always says pro wrestling is an easy formula to crack. You get over with the audience and the rest is history. That’s all you have to do. Triple H has said it and Vince McMahon has said it too. Well, The New Day got the message loud and clear. When Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods were given a beyond atrocious gimmick, they realized that while the gimmick was horrendous, they were given the ball at the same time. The New Day took that ball and ran with that terrible gimmick.
Obviously it wasn’t in the direction everyone thought it would be, but it was to somewhere. Now 8 months later, they are one of the most over attractions that the WWE has to offer. This upcoming babyface run is going to be epic to watch as will their entrance at WrestleMania. And to think it all came from that simple formula.
