As many are already aware, former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri returned to WWE in 2016 for the WWE Network’s Cruiserweight Classic. After the tournament, Tajiri was signed to a deal to work on the 205 LIVE show on the WWE Network.

Shortly after returning, Tajiri sustained an injury during a tag team match at an NXT taping featuring Shinsuke Nakamura vs Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode. WWE is concerned that due to his age (46 years old) and other injuries popping up, they have held him off TV.

But on Twitter, Tajiri released a statement that he is returning to Japan and will longer be a part of WWE for the time being. It’s said that Tajiri left on very good terms and in his statement that was originally in Japanese, thanked Triple H, William Regal and everyone at the WWE Performance Center.
