As we reported earlier this week, Kofi Kingston was written off television to have surgery on his ankle. We have now learned that the surgery was small and was to remove several small pieces of bone fragments. Kingston’s return timetable is still 2-4 weeks as originally reported by PWPNation.com.
Additionally, according to a report from PWInsider.com, WWE is considering holding the New Day off television until Kingston is 100%. There is also word that this move could be so they can give the New Day a break from TV, so their debut on SmackDown LIVE (whenever that may be) will be a big moment.
As many already know, the New Day was drafted to SmackDown LIVE this past week during the “Superstar Shakeup.”
