With a career of twists and turns, Conor McGregor has added another one to the list.

Several reports have emerged that the UFC star has been issued a boxing license in the state of California. MMAjunkie.com confirmed with the California State Athletic Commission that McGregor was issued the license as of Wednesday.

UFC president Dana White declined comment on this story.

This news hits after the UFC forced Conor McGregor to relinquish the UFC Featherweight Championship earlier this week. McGregor, at UFC 205, became the first man in the company’s history to hold two titles in two weight classes at the same time.

For months, McGregor has talked about the idea of fighting all-time great boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a “mega-fight. But all rumors have been just talk from both sides.
