In an interview with ESPN, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Creative and Live Events Paul “Triple H” Levesque was asked about the company’s interest in signing arguably the hottest “free agent” in professional wrestling, Kenny Omega.

Here’s what Mr. Levesque had to say:

“As far as a Kenny Omega goes, I’m just interested in talent, period. If somebody is talented as a performer and they wanna come work for the WWE, if they wanna come to the largest platform in the world where they can truly show what they do off on a global basis, then WWE is the choice for them. If they wanna come work for us and they’re very talented, then I’m interested in talking to them, and that’s across the board.”

Omega is currently coming off a highly respected match with IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom 11 in the Tokyo Dome on January 4th. Omega revealed after that match that he would reassess his future in professional wrestling.

Omega is contracted with NJPW until January 31st, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There is no word yet on which way Omega will decide; either re-sign with New Japan or go to WWE.
