Tuesday night in the main event of SmackDown LIVE, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated John Cena for the right to face the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at WWE SummerSlam later this month.

But during the finish of the match, Nakamura lifted Cena up for his signature exploder suplex, which caught the eye of many fans who noticed that Cena had landed on his neck and seemed to be dazed for several moments afterwards. Cena proceeded with the planned finish and even continued with his post-match endorsement of Nakamura.

Also, many fans noticed that Nakamura was seen saying, “I’m sorry,” to which Cena responded with, “don’t be sorry.” Following the move and finish, you can see Cena speaking with the referee for several minutes and moving his extremities for precautionary reasons. Also, immediately after the pin, you can Nakamura quickly move closer to Cena to make sure he was okay and to be involved in the conversation that was going on between the official and Cena.

Here’s a video of the finish:

Many are speculating that Cena may have sustained a concussion or neck injury. Obviously, it is much too early to tell, but PWP Nation will be on top of this story if anything more develops.
