Earlier this week, former Ring of Honor World Champion Adam Cole departed from the company after being with ROH since 2009 and is now one of wrestling’s hottest free agents.

It’s being reported by the Wrestling Observer that WWE and New Japan Pro-Wrestling are actively pursuing Adam Cole. Meltzer said the following on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio:

“Everybody wants Adam Cole right now.”

Meltzer noted that Cole is more likely to sign with WWE, as many in the company have been impressed with Cole in Ring of Honor and have been talking about bringing him in for quite some time. However, with New Japan Pro-Wrestling losing some key members of their roster, they are reportedly going after Cole much harder than WWE at this time.

Right now, Cole is set to face Hiroshi Tanahashi at ROH’s War of the Worlds pay-per-view on May 12th. Although Adam Cole’s ROH contract is expired, we may see him stick around ROH under officially signing a deal with other promotion.
