This past weekend, news broke that Jeff Hardy suffered a shoulder injury last week on RAW. It was confirmed by WWE today that Jeff will be undergoing surgery for a torn rotator cuff.

There’s no timetable for his return to the ring at this moment, however, in this article on WWE.com, Jeff doesn’t rule out possibly appearing on camera injured.

The surgery will take place on October 3rd. Here is Hardy’s reaction from the report on WWE.com:

“It’s depressing. More than any time in a career, it’s those times that make you go, ‘Wow, I love professional wrestling.’ It sucks that I can’t be involved in [a] match or can’t get in there and do what I normally do because I’m injured, but I just have to get over that, stop worrying about it and look forward and push myself to get repaired and healed and come back better than ever with a brand-new shoulder.”

We may have more news on Jeff Hardy during our live tweeting of Monday Night RAW tonight.
