The spin that tabloid television show ‘Inside Edition‘ put on the recent retirement of Daniel Bryan was ridiculous & shows how little the show knows about WWE & professional wrestling.

In the story (which you can watch in full below), the reporter makes suggestions that a staged beatdown by Triple H in 2014 where he struck Bryan in the head with multiple right hands & a brawl with Kane where Bryan took multiple tombstone piledrivers were the causes of Bryan’s concussion problems.

First of all, the punches administered by Triple H are worked…obviously. The reporter can’t see that or just plain ignores it. They also bring up a chairshot to the head administered by The Game in the same beatdown. It is blatantly obvious that Triple H protects Bryan by smacking the ringpost with the chair.

And the tombstone piledrivers? Believe it or not, when given in a safe environment, can be one of the less impactful wrestling moves possible as the wrestler receiving the move usually doesn’t come close to having his head touch the ground.

She also stated that Bryan was known for his repeated headbutts on opponents & they show the clip of WrestleMania 31 where Bryan & Dolph Ziggler were on top of the ladder headbutting each other.

The story is an abomination & as per the course, tries to paint professional wrestling in a negative light.
