Last weekend at Ring of Honor’s annual “Supercard of Honor”, Colt Cabana made a surprising return to ROH to challenge Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship after his successful defense against newcomer Lio Rush.
Colt Cabana hasn’t been seen in ROH since July 9, 2011 when he lost to Chris Hero at “No Escape.” He was “fired” or left ROH, depending on who you ask or what story you reason, for a couple of reasons including creative differences with Jim Cornette who consistently states that “funny doesn’t equal money.” There was also talk about ROH wanting Cabana under a contractual agreement that didn’t work for Colt at the time.
