PWP Nation’s Caden Moran gives his 10 predictions for what should and is going to happen in WWE in 2017.

As 2016 comes to a close, we look back at all the amazing moments that happened in the WWE from the return of Seth Rollins to AJ Styles winning the WWE World Championship and countless others.

Anything can happen in the WWE and next year looks to prove that as there are an endless number of events possible in the land of World Wrestling Entertainment, so how about we look into ten possible, yet bold, predictions for the WWE in 2017.

#10. Kenny Omega Signs with WWE

This is very unlikely, but still possible and here is why. Kenny Omega is undoubtedly the hottest star in Japan right now and has improved dramatically since taking over the Bullet Club. It is no secret he is being scouted by WWE officials so it makes sense for the rising star to come join his former Bullet Club brothers in WWE.

Kenny is in line for an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match in January at Wrestle Kingdom 11 against the defending champion Kazuchika Okada in what is sure to be his crowning moment. If he doesn’t come over to WWE next year, at least he will be the top guy in the second largest wrestling company in the world.

#9. Cedric Alexander Wins the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

It is no secret that Cedric Alexander is one of the most talented guys on the roster today and he is without a doubt the most popular cruiserweight in WWE. Cedric has all the tools to be a champion in WWE and I can guarantee you with his talent level and popularity as the two main factors, Cedric will win the Cruiserweight Championship at least once by the end of 2017, if not more.

I am really looking forward to what Alexander can bring in a big fight environment and if it is anything like his CWC match with Kota Ibushi, then I think Cedric is going to do just fine.

#8. The Shield Reunite

No one wants to see The Shield reunite more than me and with the looks of what has gone on in the past few weeks involving all three former members, a reunion looks to be on the horizon. Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns were not lying when they said they would run the business as they have been on the top of WWE since their original breakup with all three men proving that they are just as good as singles competitors as they were as a team.

A Shield reunion looks very likely in the future and I have no doubt that they will again run WWE and put on great matches with other teams.

Might I say The Club?

#7. The Hardy Boyz Return

Matt and Jeff Hardy are the best thing in TNA right now and they’re the only good thing in TNA right now. With TNA on it’s last legs and with the Hardy’s doing some of the best work in their careers (especially Matt), it makes sense for the former WWE Tag Team Champions to return to the company where they made their name as one of the most popular tag teams of all time.

Jeff has said himself that he wants one more run in the WWE and it has also been rumored that Triple H wants to bring Matt back with his BROKEN character. Whether it be as the Broken Hardyz or as the high flying and dangerous Team Xtreme, a Hardy return would be fantastic for the WWE and luckily for us, it looks likely.

#6. Sami Zayn is Made Champion

Please, WWE… PLEASE!

Sami Zayn has stolen my heart this year and there is nothing I want more than for him to finally get to the top of the mountain like he deserves. Sami is one of the most talented wrestlers in the world and he has been treated like dirt since defeating Kevin Owens at WWE Battleground earlier this year but if WWE wants to redeem themselves for letting one of their most talented guys go to waste, then make him WWE Universal Champion.

There is only one perfect scenario and that is Zayn defeating Owens to win the strap and I have no doubt that this will happen and it will happen very soon.

#5. Balor Club is Formed

Finn Balor has been on the shelf since Summerslam after having to vacate the new WWE Universal Championship just 24 hours after winning it due to injury, but it looks as if he will be back sooner than later and what better way to have him return than to have him form the long awaited Balor Club.

This makes a ton of sense due to many reasons such as AJ Styles will be turning face and this opens up a feud for Balor and AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have been ruined by WWE’s product and having them back with their original leader opens up many opportunists, and it finally gives the fans a reason to tune in to RAW.

Having a big stable like Balor Club would draw in tons of viewers and it not only helps Finn Balor out but it alos helps out Gallows and Anderson which I’m sure we all want to see dominate again.

#4. Cesaro Leaves WWE

It’ll happen and I don’t want it to happen. Cesaro has voiced his displeasure with his role in WWE since the Draft and I don’t blame him. Cesaro has been one of the best talents in WWE for a very long time and he has still taken a backseat during his entire WWE career, especially in 2016.

We expected big things from Cesaro since returning from injury and we just have not gotten it. Cesaro has been in the mid-card all year and when we thought he was going to finally get a main event push, he gets put in a tag team with Sheamus and hasn’t gotten anywhere since. It looks as if one more bad step could push Cesaro out the door.

#3. Bray Wyatt is Crowned Champion

Bray Wyatt has been gaining a ton of momentum over the past few weeks and there is only one word to describe it: finally. Finally Bray Wyatt is getting the recognition he deserves as a top guy.

Bray is another guy WWE have been wasting but it looks as if they have realized their mistake and will finally be giving him a main event push and believe me by the end of 2017, Bray Wyatt will be the WWE World Champion and it will be just simply awesome.

#2. Roman Reigns Turns Heel

Call me crazy but I love Roman Reigns. Roman doesn’t deserve the hate he gets night after night but I do understand why he does get it and what better way to shock the WWE Universe than to have Roman give into that hate and turn heel?

The John Cena 2.0 project just hasn’t worked with Reigns and it is finally time for Vince McMahon to swallow his pride and pull the trigger on a Roman Reigns heel turn and what better way to do it then to align him with the COO, Triple H.

Roman needs someone to guide him and Triple H is the perfect guy for the job and if you don’t believe me, just look at Seth Rollins.

#1. John Cena Ties Ric Flair’s Record

It is just inevitable that John Cena will tie Ric Flair‘s record of 16 world title wins and quite frankly whether you like him or hate him, John deserves it. Cena has given his life for the WWE and will go down as one of the greatest of all time and he undoubtedly deserves world title 16 and he will get it.

The entirety of Cena’s career now is all about him tying Flair’s record and I am calling it now that he will tie the record on the Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania against his biggest rival, AJ Styles. Cena has put Styles over multiple times this year and I can almost guarantee Styless will repay Cena but giving him a record breaking moment.

2016 has been a fantastic year in the WWE and 2017 promises to give us a ton of memory making moments. I don’t know about you but I am really looking forward to it.
