Dear TNA,

For almost 14 years you have been the “little wrassling” company that could. I don’t need to revisit your history, at times it spoke for itself. I am however going to look at your present and future. The last few years have been a roller coaster for sure. Between TV network changes, financial instability, rumors of HQ eviction, and major roster shake ups, you need to find a level of stability IMMEDIATELY.

Since the move to Pop, the shows have been extremely solid. Storylines have been compelling, and talent has been positioned to their strengths. Even the shows that were labeled as their old pay per views have been given a big event feel.

You could definitely make a case that Impact has been one of the better shows that no one is watching. Ratings are down across the board for wrestling, but the decrease Impact has seen over time sadly has been brutal. Internationally they do very well, in some markets they even beat WWE. However in the U.S. they are getting crushed.

Dixie Carter

The roster has definitely seen its fair share of turn over. Gone are the likes of AJ, Joe, Sting, Daniels, Hogan, Aries, Angle, and most recently Young, Roode, and Sky. With that said though, the current roster is actually very strong. Mike Bennett and Maria have come in and have given this roster a much needed boost in both divisions. Bennett has proven he is gold as a future number one heel, and Maria is shinning in her role as the authority and savior of the knockouts division. EC3 has been equally impressive as the number one face of the company.

Galloway and Lashleyare shining in their roles of beat down champion and dominant heel challenger destroyer. Eli Drake and Bram were reclamation projects that seem poised to breakout in big ways this summer. Even Matt and Jeff Hardy are perfect in their roles  and positions in the company at this time. That’s not everyone, but I can 100% say the roster is not the problem. TNA needs to let these guys and stories develop over time and not get nervous when things don’t happen overnight. They have the same problem that WWE does in the sense that if something isn’t perfect immediately, they go back to the “names” (Hardys). Just ask Austin Aries about that.

Now I can be fair and honestly say that you can’t believe everything you read online, but to be fair where there’s smoke so many times, eventually there’s fire. To me the concern comes from up top. Between Dixie Carter, Billy Corgan, and Pop, running the business side of TNA is to say the least a disaster. Were they really evicted from their headquarters in Nashville? We may never know, but we do know that HQ has moved into the warehouse that they ship their merchandise from. There has been multiple times of the company being behind in pay, which is obviously never good.

Reportedly Bobby Roode was told they could not afford what he was asking for, so he departed the company. To their credit, TNA turned Roode’s money into five new talents but honestly none of them will be what Roode was to TNA.

There are reports of potential investors and even a partial sale of the company. The sticking point seems to be reports that Dixie wants to still have majority control. That is what is said to be holding back any potential deal. There is nothing new on the front from the company involving the Harris Brothers.

IF it is true, that Dixie’s quest to retain power is the hold up, then she is indeed one of the most selfish, self centered people in the history of this business. I’ve said this on social media a lot lately but I’ll say it again, it doesn’t matter what news we get as the public, but I hope the TALENT and people involved with the company are being told the truth.

And finally it’s time for TNA to take a break from social media. Between never ending repetitive tweets about “high” morale, to endless gaffs by “whoever” runs Dixie’s Twitter, they are just digging themselves a bigger hole.

No one wants a repeat of 2001, however TNA it seems you are doing everything in your power to make it happen. I know you have been dealing with talk of your demise for years, but this time it seems serious and even on the horizon. If this does really come down to saving a company at the expense of a 50 year old fan girl, then someone needs to step up and put her in her place and do the right thing for the guys and girls who have gone above and beyond to put on the best 5 month stretch this company has seen in a long long time.

Time will tell. The only question is how much time will it take.

Sincerly, John “JCD” Dimiceli… a fan.

Thanks for reading, everyone.
