According to PWInsider.com, Impact Wrestling reportedly offered a new contract to Bully Ray to return to the company on an exclusive basis. The report states that the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion turned down that offer and decided to sign with Ring of Honor instead.

It’s being said that Impact Wrestling, in light of their recent departures, wanted to add someone with credibility and Bully Ray’s name came up. Impact Wrestling reportedly offered Bully Ray much more than what he was making previously with TNA and guaranteed him a spot at the top of the roster, probably in the World Title picture.

Ray was reportedly contracted before Alberto El Patron, who we now know was the backup plan if Bully Ray declined their offer. It’s being said that Bully Ray didn’t really have any interest in returning to the company and wanted to go somewhere fresh.
