At UFC 214, the highly controversial Jon “Bones” Jones made his return to the octagon in impressive fashion. Jones regained the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship from Daniel Cormier.

After the fight, Jones once again called out the reigning WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar to meet him inside The Octagon:

“Brock Lesnar, if you want to know what it feels like to get your ass kicked by a guy who weighs 40 pounds less than you, meet me in the octagon.”

Today, The Associated Press reached out to Lesnar for comment and as you can imagine, Lesnar was quick to respond in classic Brock fashion:

“Be careful what you wish for, young man.”

UFC President Dana White has gone on record stating that he doesn’t know what the status of Brock Lesnar is. Last year, Brock was suspended for one year after violating a USADA drug test before his fight at UFC 200.

Lesnar still has time to serve on his suspension before he can take on Jones. There are unconfirmed rumors that Lesnar has entered the drug testing pool.

Jones is serious about the potential super fight with Lesnar. At the post fight press conference, Jones added:

“We’re serious about it, and it would be great for the MMA world. It would bring more of the general public to mixed martial arts, and that’s what we need.”

It looks like this fight may be taking place in the future, but when?
