Earlier this week on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that during this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, 38% of teenage female fans turned off the show before the main event, which featured Bayley winning the WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte.
Although the numbers aren’t a direct indicator of Bayley’s drawing ability and do not gauge the overall interest from fans, it does however hint that teenage women didn’t seem to care enough to stick around for the ending of the show to see Bayley challenge for Charlotte’s title. Meltzer noted that this is one of the biggest drop-offs in viewership in recent time by any demographic.
Alvarez and Meltzer also noted that this might hinder Bayley’s push going forward if this trend continues, as Vince McMahon, especially during WrestleMania season, is very fixated on ratings.
